THIS MONTH'S WINE and CHEESE TASTING:
The Wine School At La Gamelle presents
Hosted by Sommelier-Lecturer-Consultant Harold Toussaint
Tuesday, November 15, 6:30 pm 65
Exploring the most versatile and food-friendly noble grape varietals (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Burgundy), we’ll be going off the beaten path to discover wines from seldom talked about villages, the likes of Petit-Chablis, Mercurey, Saint-Aubin, Irancy, Fixin, Marsannay, Santenay, etc.
Because the Burgundies we’ll be tasting are not as well-known as market-driven, high-profile names such as Chambertin, Montrachet, Meursault, etc., they remain reasonably priced. Learn about these wines then bring some to your holiday dinner parties and you’ll “win friends and influence people.”

“This is as relaxed and legitimate as wine education gets. The fact that no one is exerting any pressure on you to learn anything will strike some as a drawback and others as mercy. But wherever Toussaint hangs out his shingle is a place you can raise your GPA (grape point average) effortlessly." Stephen Meuse, THE BOSTON GLOBE, Learning by the glass: Imbibing the pleasures of wine education
